POWER WINDOW CONTROL SYSTEM > Driver Side Power Window Auto Up / Down Function does not Operate with Power Window Master Switch

DESCRIPTION

  1. If the AUTO UP/DOWN function does not operate, the cause may be one or more of the following:
  1. The ECU in the power window regulator motor determines that the power window regulator motor has not been initialized.
  2. The master switch has a malfunction.
  3. The Hall IC in the driver side power window regulator motor has a malfunction.
  4. The wiring between the master switch and the driver side power window regulator motor is open or short.

2.CHECK MANUAL UP / DOWN FUNCTION

  1. Check that the manual UP/DOWN function using the multiplex network master switch can operate the driver side power window (Click here).

    OK:
    Manual UP/DOWN function operates normally.

3.READ VALUE USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (MASTER SWITCH)

  1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

  1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

  1. Turn the tester on.

  1. Enter the following menus: Body / Master Switch / Data List.

  1. According to the display on the tester, read the Data List.

    		Normal Condition
    		Diagnostic Note
    D Door P/W Auto SW
    		Driver side power window auto UP/ DOWN switch signal / ON or OFF
    		ON: Driver side power window auto UP/ DOWN switch operated
    OFF: Driver side power window switch not operated
    		-

    OK:
    The tester display changes normally when master switch is operated.
